The perfect UMPC The Japanese computer hardware manufacturer and vendor Fujitsu announced the launch of a new UMPC computing system named LifeBook U810. The Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC for short) systems from Fujitsu are known for being very small and sleek with pleasant designs but without sacrificing computing power. Another important feature of this UMPC system is its price tag, at least $500 less than similar solutions from competing companies. According to the news site DailyTech, the LifeBook U810, or FMV-U8240 as it is known on several regional markets, packs quite a few features inside its tiny frame. The total weight of the device is almost one kilogram and that including the 5.6 inch widescreen format display capable of a 1024×600 resolution.

The processing capabilities of the LifeBook are centered around an 800MHz Intel mobile A110 processor backed up by one gigabyte of DDR2 system memory, while the storage space comes in the form of a 40GB hard disk drive. Integrated networking options are especially important for a mobile system so the Fujitsu LifeBook U810 comes with Bluetooth version 2.0 and EDR enabled as well as a wireless network controller, the Atheros Super AG 802.11a/b/g, while wired networks are accessible thanks to the 10/100 network interface card. As expansion options we find an USB 2.0 port as well as a VGA one alongside a CompactFlash slot and Secure Digital slot. For security reasons a fingerprint reading sensor is included too. The 5.6? display screen is very mobile and besides various user defined positions it can be placed in two standard setups: a traditional laptop-like view and a setup where the screen covers the entire body of the UMPC. The latter setup is also known as a slated layout that users may find useful when writing or reading. The energy required by the LifeBook U810 is provided by a battery with a nominal lifetime of 5.5 hours as it is made of four power cells which store 5200mAh thanks to the lithium-ion setup. Installing the Component
It is recommended that you make a backup of your database structure before installing the 4D Ajax Framework component.
1 Open your 4D database with 4D Insider
2 In the menu bar select Components -> Install/Update…
3 In the resulting dialog select the 4D Ajax Framework component (.4CP file) found in the installer’s “For 4D 2004” folder and click the Open button.
4 When installation completes quit 4D Insider.

Installing the Plugins Folder
4D Ajax Framework makes use of the 4D Pack plugin when serving its web pages. If you already have a “Plugins” folder next to your structure, simply copy the 4D Pack plugin into this folder. If you do not currently have a “Plugins” folder next to your structure, create this folder and copy the 4D Pack plugin into it.

Installing the Web Pages
Included with the 4D Ajax Framework component is a folder “Webfolder” that contains all of the HTML and JavaScript pages, which are used to serve your database to a web browser. Depending on whether or not you are currently serving your database to the web, you will need to do one of two things to install the “Webfolder” folder.
• If you are not currently using the built in 4D web server copy the “Webfolder” folder next to your 4D database structure file.
• If you are already serving web pages from 4D copy the entire contents of the “Webfolder” folder into your existing root web folder.

Installing the Support Folder
4D Ajax Framework uses XML files to save various settings. These files are stored in the Extras\Support folder next to the database structure. Various files are included with the 4D Ajax Framework component that must be placed in this folder. Other files will be generated automatically when 4D Ajax Framework starts up and shuts down.
1 If you do not currently have a folder name “Extras” next to your structure create one.
2 Copy the “Support” folder that is included with 4D Ajax Framework to the Extras folder.
NOTE: If you already have a Support folder inside your Extras folder simply copy the enclosed files into your Support folder.

Ford 6.0L Turbo Air Guide (TAG) install: 2003-2004.pdf

Remove the flexible rubber hose from the air filter to the hard plastic intake tube which connects to the turbo charger. Remove the bolts securing the hard plastic intake tube and associated tubing and clamp.

The picture to the left shows the orientation of the TAG to be inserted into the hard plastic intake tube.

NOTE: the supplied rubber O-Ring is installed on the TAG facing the plastic tube. The TAG will be inserted into the end of the tube which is connected to the turbo charger. Start the TAG into the tube as shown. Note that the tube has a ridged or recessed area that the TAG will fit into. The TAG is a snug fit into the tube so it may take a couple of tries to get it into the correct position.

When the TAG is properly inserted into the tube, it should look like the picture to the left. Install the intake tube, air filter hose and all associated connects to complete the job.

The popularity of these applications is rising rapidly, as students see the opportunities to free up time and space so that learning can be fitted into busy lifestyles.

However, a dilemma has arisen. Although, by its very nature, social software attracts activities which have democracy and freedom from institutional influence at their heart (RICHARDSON, 2006), such freedom may have the effect of opening the door to abuse or misuse of technologies. Seemingly destructive elements may emerge where the right to participate is exploited. Institutional rules may be infringed, causing a detrimental effect upon the traditional organisation through subversion of previously accepted practices. Students using Wikis and ‘blogs generally work autonomously and independently, beyond the reach of any recognised authority, so it is debatable to what extent educational institutions can, and should attempt to ‘manage’ such learning technology. It follows that some universities may see a need to control the use of such software in formalised learning contexts, but lack the surveillance power necessary to facilitate it. Younger students in particular often engage in the use of social software to share bookmarks, images and videos, and other media outside of the auspices or control of their parent institution. You will see orange when you have the hold in the correct position. Using 1 soft tool wedge it into the side of the iPod. It is preferred to stay away from the hold switch and the headphone jack. Using a side to side motion, loosen the iPod while gently prying up and down. It will be held in place with adhesive and will require some pressure to remove it. Try to apply the pressure at the end away from the hold switch first! Removing the 2 top screws Use the Phillips head screw driver to remove these screws. Apply plenty of pressure or you may end up with a stripped screw and then you will have to get a screw out set (Craftsman makes a good one available at Sears!). Removing the bottom bezel Use the same method as you used for the top. It will come off with some work! Here you see we pry up on the end until we can loosen it free from the adhesive.

Remove the two screws from the bottom Removing the Headphone Plug Slide a flat tool under this plug and begin to slide it out. Be careful b/c it is still attached to the logic board at this point. It will come out as shown next. This is as much as you want to remove the headphone plug at this point. Remove the hidden screw under the headphone plug In this pic the screw is already removed, but the arrow indicates where it was located. Remove the Metal Protector Just use a flat tool to pry this piece out after the screws are out.

The Ford supplied Sierra 4×4 Supplementary Workshop Manual is a “must have” for any owner of one of these cars. The biggest problem can be actually finding one to purchase. I got lucky and managed to get mine direct from a Ford dealer, brand new for ?8, who was having a clearout. They do appear regularly at auto jumbles and it is just a case of keep looking. The manual only covers those items unique to the 4×4 Sierra’s and are to be used in conjunction with the Ford Sierra Workshop Manual.

Ford never produced a supplement that covered the 2.9 engine or the later Mark Two model but all the running gear sections are relevant as this never changed during the life of the model. I believe there is also a supplement that covers the MT75 gearbox for the 2.9 models. I have included below some information and diagrams that maybe helpful to owners.

INTRODUCTION

The focusing screen on the Canon EOS 20D digital SLR camera may be readily
changed in the field. Often this is desired in order to replace the factory screen
with an alternative screen having manual focusing aids, such as a split image prism
and/or a microprism field, or merely to replace a damaged screen.

The details, including the information on determining the proper orientation of the
new screen, are predicated on the installation of a new OEM screen or an “aftermarket” screen closely adhering to the configuration and dimensions of the
OEM screen. If you have a screen for which this is not so, please get the necessary
supplemental information from the manufacturer or distributor.

I understand that with some aftermarket screens, the shim installed at the factory
to properly position the focusing screen must be removed. If you have such a
screen, please get the necessary supplemental information from the manufacturer
or distributor.

Canon EOS 20D—Replacing the Focusing Screen

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

The following tools and materials are recommended for the procedure described by
this article:
• Clean washcloth, small cloth towel, etc.
• Sheet of white bond paper
• Scissors
• (Optional) One Pec Pad or equivalent (camera lens wipe)
• Small tweezers with smooth flat tips (be sure they have no sharp edges or
“burrs”)
• Round wood toothpick (must have fairly sharp point)
• Camera dust blower or ear syringe
• Small block of wood about the size of a small matchbox (or a matchbox)
• Replacement focusing screen
If a dental mirror is available, it is very helpful in studying the battle zone to get an appreciation of where the retaining frame latch is, and may be useful in the actual procedure.

Most manuals make little sense till you have the camera in front of you and ready to go. Here is a short cut guide, below, with the key info. Don't spend too long trying to figure out any given instruction. Start pushing buttons on the camera as soon as you have a rough idea what the instructions are trying to say. If you spend too long reading the manual or these instructions without trying things out on the camera, you will go insane.

Batteries are installed. You are responsible for replacing these if needed. NOTE – Battery Compartment: Turn the camera upside down with the lens facing you. Pull the battery compartment ‘slide’ toward you and then to the right! If you just pull back, it will NOT open. Figure on a new set every few hours of operation. Alternatively, Ni-MH rechargeable batteries can be used if you have them. DO NOT use NiCd or regular, cheap, non alkaline batteries. If you remove the batteries from the camera for some time, it will probably forget your settings.

The memory card is installed. This will allow you about 30 pictures before having to download to your computer. The number of remaining frames is displayed at the bottom right.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Camera Recommended Settings & Notes~Shutter speed and F-stop. Depending on the level of ambient light in your office, you may wish to adjust the F-stop. To change, hold down the AV +/- button on the back of the camera while turning the main dial just behind the shutter button. Turning left will decrease the F-stop number and yield brighter pictures, turning right will increase the F-stop number and yield darker pictures.

2 Focusing. Press and hold shutter halfway to focus image. When image is in focus, the camera will beep and the red lights in the squares will blink. The area directly behind the blinking light is the center point from which the camera focuses, so it is best if this is in the center of your subject. Without releasing, press the shutter all the way down to freeze the image. 4 Filtering the Lightbox. Due to the intensity of the flash bulb inside the lightbox, we recommend placing some type of filter over the bulb to prevent the backlight from overpowering the camera’s flash. The guide will deal specifically with installing the Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 operating system on a Sony VAIO VGX-XL201 Media Center PC. However, the concepts described in this guide are likely to be largely relevant to similar operating systems like Windows XP Professional, and media center PCs like the Sony VAIO VGX-XL202. When Windows Vista ships in January 2007 I will probably create a new version of this guide dealing specifically with that operating system for the VGX-XL201.

1. It is best to remove and replace one shock and then move to the other side. Without any shock the trunk will easily fall on your head. To be safe, you may want to prop the trunk lid so it cannot fall on your head. When I had one shock removed, the wind did blow the lid down on my head!
2. Begin with the driver side shock. I recommend this because it is slightly easier since the wiring/harness does not come into play.
3. First, remove the c-clip of the upper mount, but do not disconnect the shock from the pivot mount yet. Here is picture with c-clip already removed. Another tip, I suggest replacing since cheap, but regardless, when you attempt to remove try to cover the clip with a rag so it doesn’t go flying. Mine disappeared out in the yard somewhere.
4. The next step is to remove the lower mounting clip. This is accomplished by using a screwdriver to push the clip downward and off the shock.
5. Now the driver side shock can be removed. Simply pull the lower part straight out and pull the upper mount off the pivot shaft. Again, be careful here that the trunk stays up and not on your skull.
6. Next install the new drivers side trunk shock. But first clean off the upper mount shaft and the lower ball joint. It really isn’t necessary to grease these connections because the new shock comes with grease already in the part.

The 2nd Gear Helper Function helps reduce the normal shock when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear by lengthening the ignition cut time (only applicable on street bikes that have neutral sensor). Best of all, the Battle Factory Power Shifter doesn’t require a battery like other shifters on the market.

The Battle Shifter automatically cuts out under 2,500 RPM’s to prevent engine stall during slow speeds and idle. It comes fully setup for your bike from the factory.

IMPORTANT:
To ensure the long life of your unit, please read all instructions carefully. Check that the adjustment window is covered before riding!! Take care to ensure that all wires are connected correctly, especially the <+> and <–> as incorrect installation can result in damage to the unit. Be sure to ground the shifter’s <–> (black wire) to the frame.

Avoid installing the control unit in places where it will be exposed to excessive water, heat, dust or vibration. Also avoid securing it the close proximity of the ignition coil or plugs as electronic noise could interfere with normal operation. We recommend installing it in a convenient spot near the CDI on the meter stay. Be sure to insert the included sponge under the control unit before securing with the provided zip straps.

1. Standard black ABS faceplate must be painted. Your local auto parts store or body shop will be able to provide assistance with obtaining the correct type and match of paint. To paint faceplate:
a. Clean faceplate with a soap and water solution to remove dirt and other contaminates.
b. Sand painting surface with 320 grit sand paper.
c. Apply a coating of ABS compatible primer-adhesion promoter
d. Apply paint compatible with ABS as directed by the paint manufacturer
2. Hold the retaining ring over spare tire with trim facing towards you (latch assembly will be facing down). Place one side of the open end of the ring over the tire and gradually move ring over and around tire until the retaining ring fits over spare tire.
3. Carefully slip the painted faceplate between the tire and stainless retaining ring. Start at the top tire and work down each side, working retaining ring over faceplate edge.
4. Carefully close opening at bottom of the retaining ring, keeping the faceplate centered. Adjust the latch so the retaining ring fits snug.
5. If faceplate is loose, push on retaining ring edge to adjust the retaining ring inward to sandwich faceplate between tire and retaining ring.

If you’re reading this document you should already have Kobol, but if you don’t, you can download a demo or purchase a copy at http://www.thekompany.com/products/kobol/. When you purchase Kobol you are entitled to free electronic updates for the life of the product for all supported platforms, this does not include add-on modules that are available separately.

You will need to be running a 300Mhz or better processor with at least 64MB of RAM, and either a Linux or MS Windows operating system. Koobl for Linux has been statically linked with all the libraries required, so you don’t need to worry about installing anything else for Kobol - just run it.

If you are using a Linux system then you need to unpack the Kobol installation package into whatever directory you like (we recommend /usr/local), by using the tar command: tar -zxvf Kobol-1.0.0.tar.gz or tar -jxvf Kobol-1.0.0.tar.bz2 Please note that the version number will change with each release, so the file name may not match the example. The command creates the directory Kobol-1.0.0 and puts all the files there. Now go into the directory with the following command: cd Kobol-1.0.0 Now just run installation script as root: ./install.sh If you have tried to install as a user other than ‘root’, then you will receive a warning message. The installation script will tell you where the files are installed so if you want to remove Kobol from your Linux system you will only need to remove /usr/local/kobol directory and the binary file /usr/bin/kobol.

Keep in mind that certain Linux distributions do not come with the required development libraries, currently that would be Lindows and Xandros. They are geared for a home desktop user and as such they don’t by default include developer tools like the gcc compiler.

To install Kobol on a Windows system you need to run the exe installation file. Now just follow the prompts as you would with any other Windows installer. If you select a ‘typical’ installation, then not all features will be installed. If you select a ‘full’ installation, you can disable features later if you like with ‘Control Panel->Removing and Add Programs’. It is also necessary for you to install the ‘CygWin’ application, this contains the compiler and various other pieces needed on Windows.

Installation Guide : Install the Front Control Module (FCM) (2) to the Integrated Power Module (IPM). Install the B+ cable and nut on the IPM B+ terminal. Snap the cover in place. IOD Fuse : All vehicles are equipped with an Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse that is disconnected within the Integrated Power Module when the vehicle is shipped from the factory. Dealer personnel are to reconnect the IOD fuse in the Integrated Power Module as part of the preparation procedures performed just prior to new vehicle delivery. The term ignition-off draw identifies a normal condition where power is being drained from the battery with the ignition switch in the Off position. The IOD fuse feeds the memory and sleep mode functions for some of the electronic modules in the vehicle as well as various other accessories that require battery current when the ignition switch is in the Off position.

Chevrolet Belt Noise ..All is quiet in the engine compartment. The customer pays the invoice and all seems well. Weeks later, the belt chirp noise returns and so does the customer. The technician warranties the belt, eliminating the belt noise condition. When the noise symptom repeats it self, the service manager is ready to change belt suppliers. The odds are the vehicle has some problems inherent by design, or something is out of alignment. Unless the technician takes the time to accurately diagnose the reason for the noise condition, the symptom will continue to plague the system. For a belt noise condition, the first check should involve a belt-to-pulley alignment check. Verify that the power steering pump pulley is pressed onto the pump shaft in the proper position. While the pulley should be flush with the end of the pump shaft, it can be repositioned on the shaft to achieve the proper belt alignment. Vehicles produced after June 2004 have the revised AC/power steering pump mounting bracket. The rear power steering mounting bracket on all vehicles prior to and after the mentioned production date may require a modification. This modification involves drilling larger holes into the rear mounting bracket to ensure proper alignment when installing the mounting bolts. GM TSB 05-06-01-018 illustrates the proper procedure and necessary mounting bracket part number, where applicable. Chrysler acknowledges that a belt chirping or squeaking condition may be present on the 2004–2005 Pacifica with the 3.5L engine, due to misaligned pulleys.

In terms of survival for children with leukemia, the chapter focuses on three primary topics: (1)comparison of survival rates for children with ALL and AML; (2) the impact of age at diagnosis on survival; and (3) the remarkable improvements in survival rates for children with ALL during the past 20years. Before discussing topics related to childhood leukemia incidence and outcome, it is necessary to describe the specific diagnoses that are included among the Diagnostic Groups for leukemia of the International Classification of Childhood Cancer (ICCC). Table I.1 illustrates that acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) accounted for approximately 99% of casesamong the lymphoid leukemia (Ia) diagnostic group, so that this ICCC diagnostic group is essentially synonymous with ALL. The “acute non-lymphocytic leukemia” diagnostic category Ib is henceforth referred to as the acute myeloid leukemia(AML) category since this is the preferred terminology [3], and it encompasses the various subtypes of AML that occur in children. The other three ICCC diagnostic categories combined accounted for only 6-7% of total leukemia cases in children. The chronic myeloid leukemias diagnostic group(Ic) included approximately 3% of leukemia cases occurring in the younger than 20years of age group during the period from1990-95, while the “other specified leukemia” diagnostic group (Id) included fewer than 1% of the leukemia cases

Servicing injection system
The engine control unit has a self-diagnosis capability. Before carrying out repairs and fault finding the fault memory must be interrogated. The vacuum hoses and connections must also be checked (unmetered air).
♦ Fuel hoses in engine compartment must only be secured with spring-type clips. Clamping-type or screw-type clips must not be used.
♦ A voltage of at least 11.5 V is required for proper operation of the electrical components.
♦ Do not use sealants containing silicone. Particles of silicone drawn into the engine will not be burnt in the engine and will damage the Lambda probe.
♦ The vehicles are fitted with a crash/fuel shut-off system. This system is designed to reduce the risk of a vehicle fire after a crash by deactivating the fuel pump via the fuel pump relay.
♦ At the same time, this system also improves the engine’s starting performance. When the driver’s door is opened, the fuel pump is activated for 2 seconds in order to build up pressure in the fuel system → Chapter (page 1).

The fuel system is pressurised. The fuel pressure in the high-pressure part of the injection system must be reduced to a residual pressure prior to opening; for procedure see → Chapter (page 3). The connection must be opened IMMEDIATELY after reducing the pressure by wrapping a cloth around the connection and allowing the residual pressure (approx. 6 bar) to dissipate.

Aluminum Steering Wheel Trim Installation Instruction for BMW E46 Pdf

The following is a detailed walk-through of the replacement for the "BMW E46 sport steering wheel". Please note that we are not technicians but simply providing info about what we did. The trim does not come with its own instructions. The instructions below should also apply to the wooden steering trim as well. As always, be careful and make sure you have the correct tools for the job. Required Tools: Two long thin flat-head screwdrivers., One “thin” T20 Torx Driver (NOT a “bit” styled driver*) Installation: (Total Time: 30 minutes to 1 hour). Step 1 Look for 2 small oval shaped holes in the steering column behind the steering wheel. They incorporate a rubberized cover with a slit to allow access to the two airbag locking springs inside the center compartment. (See figure 1). While facing the steering wheel, on either side, insert the long screwdriver into the hole. Step 2 You will access the locking spring by inserting your screw driver parallel to the wheel and perpendicular to the column. (See Figure 2). This is the trickiest part: Make sure the flat head is always horizontal. You’ll have a better chance of pushing the spring mechanism. Step 3 Push this rod in enough and you’ll notice the round center of the wheel starts moving forward. At this time, you can reach in the gap and pull it back. You will probably have to alternate sides once or twice before you release the airbag (See Figure 3). Step 4 You should be able to pull the center unit back to expose the airbag compartment in (Figure 4) The center unit contains the sealed airbag. I don’t think you can trigger it from here, but nevertheless be careful. I didn’t bother to remove the plugs from the unit. The wires were just long enough for me to have it dangle so it wasn’t in my way. Tip: you should protect the existing trim and lower steering wheel with a cloth so the dangling airbag assembly doesn’t scuff it up.

Annular Velocity and Mud Properties are the two major variables in the process of cleaning solids from the wellbore during drilling and tripping (i.e. hole cleaning). They are however only one part of an integrated process to achieving full hole cleaning optimisation. Other variables if not fully examined, evaluated and considered will result in a damaging effect on other well processes. E.g. Drilling and cost efficiency, bit/bottom hole cleaning, solids removal, wellbore stability, stuck pipe and hole problem prevention. Hole sizes, hole angle, casing setting depths, well conditions and formation characteristics must also be suitably planned, engineered and accounted for. The following guidelines have therefore been compiled to support hole cleaning in the well planning and operational phases of drilling operations. Well Planning : Trajectory - The choice of well trajectory is often limited by other wells in the area, the choice of target and economics. Plan and consider the implications of choosing certain trajectories. e.g. 17.5″ holes at inclinations >55° are best avoided if possible. Hole enlargement - Every effort should be made in well planning to avoid enlargement of the open hole. Mud weights, formation characteristics, fluid and drillstring dynamics are critical considerations to be accounted for in the planning process. Study offset well data for signs of over gauge hole, which may need to be included in minimum flow rate calculations. As a rule of thumb guide, the annular velocity necessary to get cuttings moving in a well inclined at 30 ° is about 20% higher than in a vertical well. Between 50° and 60°, the annular velocity needs to be about twice that in vertical holes. Plan for typical operating conditions - It is recommended that hydraulic and holecleaning simulations are run for each wells. This enables mud properties and flow rates to be optimised to provide adequate hole cleaning in all sections of the well. Hole-cleaning problems do not necessarily occur near total depth, but can occur further up in the hole where enlargement or increase in casing diameters, reduce mud velocities. Simulation of cleaning efficiency at several points in the annulus can determine areas of inadequate cleaning.
